How is home care paid for?
Home health care can be paid for in a number of different ways. There are third party payers such as Medicare or Medicaid; there may be insurance company coverage or individuals can pay for the services privately.

How do I get home care?
You can receive home care by making a request to the agency directly, you can contact Winona County Public Health; a doctor may suggest this type of care, or a hospital discharge planner/social service department may help you with the decision.

How do I know what service I need?
If you are referred by a doctor he/she may recommend a certain level of care. If you choose to contact us directly, we will be happy to review with you the different types of care we offer so that you can make an informed decision on the type of care you think would be most appropriate. A qualified staff member will be able to evaluate your request and we will make an initial assessment visit to assist you in determining your plan for home health care.

How much do your services cost?
As we have mentioned there are funding sources for home health care services. Depending on the source of funding, the cost of cares will vary. It is only in private pay situations that clients will be required to pay for the cost of services. We will be happy to discuss the cost of our services with you once we have determined what services you may require.

Is it possible for me to provide cares for a family member?
Yes. Quality Living works with many families who have chosen to work together to provide cares for their loved ones, and receive compensation for their efforts.

Can you help us find the necessary medical equipment we might need?
Yes. Quality Living is familiar with many types of medical equipment and we have strong relationships with medical equipment suppliers. We will be happy to assist you in any way we can.
